Why this page gives you no reopening date
You will find specific years online. They trace to tour-operator blogs, not to any authority.
So we print none. Check the current access locally before you build a day around Egremni - at your hotel, at the harbour, or with a boat operator on the day. That is the only source that is current, and it is the one nobody publishing a confident date has consulted.
If a page tells you flatly that Egremni reopened in a particular year, treat that as a signal about the page rather than about the beach.
What it was, and still is
Egremni sits on the west coast, further south than Porto Katsiki, and was once reached by an even longer cliff staircase than that one - which is saying something.
It is the same coastline: dramatic sand beneath white cliffs, turquoise water, and almost no natural shade. The scale is the thing the photographs flatten.
The realistic way to see it
By water. Boat trips run along this coast and the cliffs read better from the sea than from the top of them, which is true of the whole west coast and especially true of a beach whose land access is uncertain.

If you want this coast without the uncertainty
Porto Katsiki gives you the same drama with a staircase that is there: paid car park at the top, a long flight of steps, and almost no shade at the bottom.

Practical notes
A car is not optional on Lefkada. The west-coast beaches sit down winding roads the limited bus network was never built to serve.
Step-free access does not exist on this stretch, and on Egremni specifically the access question is open. If stairs are a problem, Kathisma is the beach on this coast to plan around.
When to come. Late May to June and September give warm days, a swimmable sea and thinner crowds; July and August are hottest, busiest and windiest.
Common questions
Is Egremni open? We will not answer that with a date, because no authority publishes one we can cite and the situation has changed repeatedly since 2015. Check locally on the day.
Is the beach itself damaged? The sand is still there. It was the cliff access that went.
Can I still see it? Yes, from the water, and the cliffs are worth the boat regardless of what the land access is doing.
